Functionalities of Laravel 5.3

 

  • Notification: This feature in Laravel 5.3 provides a simple, expressive API to send notifications across a variety of delivery channels such as email, Slack, SMS, etc.
  • Web Sockets/ Event Broadcasting: The Laravel 5.3 release greatly improves this feature of the framework by adding channel-level authentication for private and presence WebSocket channels
  • Laravel Passport (OAuth2 server): Laravel 5.3 makes API authentication soothing using this feature that provides a full OAuth2 server implementation for Laravel application within minutes. Laravel Passport is built on top of the league OAuth2 server that is maintained by Alex Bilbie. Laravel Passport makes it painless to issue access tokens via OAuth2 authorization codes.
  • Search – Laravel Scout: To add a full-text search on eloquent models, this feature in Laravel 5.3 provides a simple driver-based solution.
  • Mailable objects: This feature of Laravel 5.3, Mailable objects allow representing email messages as simple objects instead of customizing mail messages within closures.
  • Storing Uploaded files: Laravel 5.3 makes it very easy to store uploaded files using the new store method on an uploaded file.
  • WebPack and Laravel Elixir: With the release in Laravel 5.3, Laravel Elixir 6.0 was also released with baked-in support for the web pack and rollers javascript bundlers.
  • Frontend structures: Laravel 5.3 deploys with more modern frontend structure which affects strongly to authentication scaffolding
  • Routes files: Laravel 5.3 has 2 HTTP route files in the new top-level routes directory
  • Closure Console Commands: In Laravel 5.3 applications, the command method loads a routes/console.php file which allows to define the Console commands as route-like, Closure based entry points into the application
  • The $loop Variable: This feature in Laravel 5.3 gives some useful information like current loop index, initial or last iteration through the loop
